The Recreation
Dept. in River Grove Offers a variety of programs to suit all ages.
Starting with a tots program for the youngest residents to socialize
along with their parents. On up to a summer Golf league, where
participants range in age to their late 70's. Programs run year round
and some fill quickly.
If your a teen and are interested in basketball, girls softball or
billiards take a look at our offerings. Those younger and older browse
what's available for you the come and join the fun.
River Grove
Recreation also offers various outings thru the year such as pool
parties, ice skating and ball games. It also sponsors the Youth
Government Program.
River Grove
also has 3 play lots which come under the the Rec. Dept. It also uses
River Grove schools and fields for activities. The southwestern part
of town is also served by Veterans Park district. Which includes
Trumbull field in River Grove. This park contains tennis & boccie
courts, ballfield and some park sponsored activities.

Triton College
Offers Summer Camps for Kids
Triton's Continuing Education Office will offer a
series of one-week summer camps for kids. Camps are held in either morning
or afternoon sessions on Triton's main campus, located at 2000 Fifth Ave.,
River Grove.
Camps include:
* LEGO ROBOTICS (Ages 8-12) - 9-11:50 a.m., Monday-Friday, June 14-18 and
July 12-16
* COMPUTER DETECTIVES I (Ages 8-12) - 1:30-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, June
14-18 and July 12-16
* CREATIVE PAPER ARTS (Ages 5-10) - 9-11:50 a.m.,
Monday-Friday, July 5-9 and July 26-30
* GREEN GARDENERS (Ages 5-10) - 1:30-4:25 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 14-18
and July 12-16

“Scare Up a Good Book Events”

3-5pm & Wednesdays from 12-2pm
SIGN UP IS
REQUIRED
We will be discussing a new monster every week and have
activities, crafts, cooking classes, etc. related to that monster.
There will also be a special raffle each week to win some “wicked”
prizes.
All of my events will be based on facts and fiction
concerning monsters. Some examples are vampires, werewolves and
zombies.
